A Story of Persistence and Hard work
The story of Bluey's Tree Removals Pty Ltd begins in the beautiful suburb of Ferntree Gully, with nothing more than a family sedan and a trailer. With a first child on the way and finances strained, we worked tirelessly to grow the business. Our clientele increased steadily as word of our good work was passed around. Soon, the family sedan made way for a 4 x 4 and tandem trailer. Fast forward a little further, our first truck and chipper joined the crew. Now we could really get stuff done!
With business ever growing, we invested in a Bobcat to make light work of the larger jobs, which kept coming our way. In time, our original chipper was upgraded to a larger, more efficient unit. Our list of tree removal services then became complete with the addition of a Stump Grinder. To aid efficiency, we added a 35 feet tower and a 75 HP Stump Grinder that can go anywhere and munches up stumps in no time.
We now proudly operate a large assortment of equipment. We have the right tool for any job. The latest addition is a new model chipper and forest mower. We have come a long way since the sedan and trailer, but some things never change. We are still a family business and just as hardworking as ever. We still strive to be the very best at what we do.
About Paul 'Bluey' Robinson (Founder)
With over 20 years of experience, there is not much Paul doesn't know about the business of maintaining and felling trees. For Paul, it all began when he broke away from labouring work in his early 20's. Paul responded to an ad in the local newspaper seeking a hardworking person with chainsaw experience to work with a tree felling company. Paul did grow up cutting firewood with a chainsaw, so he had the experience, but he wasn't an arborist. However, nothing takes the place of persistence, and a lack of qualification didn't stop Paul from getting that job.
Paul learnt quickly on the job and eventually branched out on his own to become a fully qualified tree climber with all the relevant plant machinery and equipment. Tree work ran throughout his family history, and now that calling had found its way to Paul. It's a love of the outdoors; the mental and physical challenge has kept Paul happily in his line of work for so many years. Paul is now passing on his knowledge and passion for the business to his eldest son, Trent.
