Rotating Grapple – Efficient and Timesaving
When it comes to mulching and chipping, what sets us apart from the rest is our rotating grapple arm. We can feed an entire tree trunk through our chipper in record time, thanks to the rotating grapple – one of the few currently operating in Melbourne. The base of the tree must be fed in a straight line through the chipper. Where normally other crews with a fixed grapple would need to take great time and effort to align their machinery to start feeding the trunk. We can simply rotate the direction of the trunk itself.
Not only does this save time and labour (and therefore money!), it also keeps the ground underfoot from being chewed up by machinery that is being moved around multiple times to get that perfect position.
